Those ‘verified remote’ listings are legit, but , a few expire within 24–48 hours — set an alert and apply the same day… I landed a tele-derm PA role last month using AAPA’s board (https://pa-jobsource.aapa.org) and filtered to North Carolina licensure even though the clinic’s in Ohio. Small caveat: some ‘remote’ gigs still want quarterly on-site days — did they note that in this week’s batch?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

Landed a tele‑urgent care PA gig out of NC by applying through the health system’s own portal instead of the board; @n_jackson12 is right about moving fast, and adding “telemedicine,” “Epic,” and “asynchronous” to my resume got me past the filters. Small caveat: many “remote” roles want 1–2 onsite orientation days or require you to hold licenses in multiple states — ask upfront if they cover fees.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

“Verified remote” Ohio listings asked for multi-state licenses; confirm pay structure — 1099 rates differ.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

Applied the same day to an Ohio remote primary care posting and only heard back after I added “weekend availability” to my resume — seems they prioritize that more than years out. My quick screen is, “Do you pay for EMR onboarding and provide malpractice (tail) for 1099s?” — if it’s no/unclear, I skip. If you’re moving fast like @n_jackson12 says, set AAPA alerts and keep a text-only resume ready: Career Resources - AAPA.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

On the “verified remote” postings, I started opening my cover note with “Epic + Zoom for Healthcare experience, wired connection, private workspace,” and my callbacks jumped because it signals you’re ready on day one. Small caveat: some real‑time portals strip formatting, so keep it to one clean sentence.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

I started opening my note with a metric line like “14–18 tele-visits/day, 98% same-day chart closure, NC + OH active,” and callbacks jumped; small caveat — some teams screen for Athena/Elation over Epic, so list whichever you’ve used, @alex_brenner92

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

Quick example: I got more bites after adding a line like “tele-UC: about 17 visits/day, PDMP checked, OH + NC active” and attaching a one-page case log — recruiters love receipts; @n_jackson12 is right on flexibility, and if I can’t do weekends I offer two “late evenings” instead.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

For NC/Ohio roles, I add NPI + CAQH ID up top; ‘apply promptly’ mattered — some HRs still prefer no IDs.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

Noticed the NC/Ohio remote listings move fast; I put my ET availability (after 5p + 2 weekends/month), Epic/Zoom proficiency, and malpractice status in the first paragraph and started getting same-day screens. @n_jackson12 is right — “apply promptly” matters, but adding that I’m open to occasional on-site days (Raleigh/Columbus) kept me from getting filtered out.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

Adding ‘hardwired ethernet, private HIPAA-safe office, dual monitors’ to my first paragraph bumped my callbacks — tele teams treat it like seeing a clean exam room. Small caveat: I never post DEA or exact license numbers publicly; I offer those after a screen, @fharper21.
